My name is Jessica Muller, I have wanted to decorate cakes since I was very young. My mom bought me three tips and a piping bag and I used them to decorate anything I could. I've never had any formal training but, a few years ago a family friend talked me into making a baby shower cake for another friend. I think she was just expecting me to write "congratulations" on a cake mix cake. When she showed up and saw the frog themed cake set I'd done. (pics in Baby shower gallery) The first thing she said was "you should start a business doing this." Three years passed and I finally took her advice. I love people's reaction to a great tasting cake, it makes it worth all the effort to make each one from scratch. I also really enjoy the artistic expression involved in making cakes, each one is a blank canvas. People always laugh when I say that each one surprises me. But, they really do, each one a unique creation, you know, like a snowflake....

My right hand, apprentice and helper is my friend, neighbor and mother-in-law, Judy. She has a knack for always knowing what I need right before I know I need it, so she is invaluable to me. Some times if I'm cruising along on a design, she'll stay quiet working on cleaning dishes as I dirty them. Other times she is the inspiration I need to overcome a roadblock. She sketches for me, colors fondant, tells me what looks awesome, tells me to keep going if it's not just right and makes an amazing royal icing Hibiscus. (see pics in Anniversary gallery) She's also brave enough to hold a cake on her lap during hazardous deliveries. I couldn't do it without her.
